Coach Carlos grew up playing for the prestigious Atlético de Madrid academy. During this time, he achieved remarkable success, winning the Spanish Championship twice. Carlos progressed earning a spot on the reserve team, where he served as captain for two years. His leadership on the field and exceptional performance earned him opportunities to train with Atlético de Madrid's first team, allowing him to play alongside some of the best players at the highest level of the sport.

Coach Carlos has an impressive playing career, having competed for several notable teams in Spain, including Cádiz, Alavés, Albacete, Marbella, Burgos, and others. Over the course of his career, he participated in five playoff campaigns for promotion to the Second Division, with Albacete Balompie, Carlos achieved the milestone of earning promotion to the Second Division, a significant accomplishment in his career. He later made his debut in this Division solidifying his reputation as a player who excelled at a high level in Spanish soccer.

In the later years of his playing career, Coach Carlos transitioned into coaching, combining his on-field expertise with his passion for developing young talent. He spent four years coaching the youth academy at Rivas FC, where he also took on the role of academy coordinator. During this time, Carlos honed his coaching skills, focusing on nurturing young players and overseeing their development both on and off the field. His dual role as a coach and coordinator allowed him to gain valuable experience in leadership and player development, setting the foundation for his continued success in shaping the next generation of soccer talent.
